MEGADETH Bassist: Packed Up And Ready To Go
July 14, 2005MEGADETH bassist James MacDonough has posted the following message in teh "Forums" section of the band's official web site:
"With just a few hours left to get on the plane, it's not that I wait till the last minute, but it's an ongoing process that takes a couple days.
"Had to get the last of my albums to load into the Ipod today, listening to 'Octavarium' right now and it ROCKS, DREAM THEATER's new one. I feel like I've been ready for this tour all my life, and it's finally coming into play. I'm really looking forward to making alot of good friends and experiencing all the music that this tour will offer. I know there will be a lot of cameras at different points along the way documenting it for you guys as well as ourselves.
"I've packed about 7 books to read along the way, that might be enough. I ran out last time and had to borrow one off of Shawn Erbland, Dave's tech and my longtime buddy from previous tours with ICED EARTH. Seems like we're the only guys that read fantasy-type fiction. Eddings, Weis & Hickman stuff. Books, iPod, and DVDs are the staple for a tour, you will not go crazy with this combo. OK, that and plenty of soup. You've got to have good soup for a good tour.
"Enough babbling, looking forward to every face on the road. Now to try and get some sleep with all this excitement. Be safe and see you soon!!!"
